Kirby Smart discusses QB Jacob Eason’s position with the Bulldogs

When Georgia QB Jacob Eason went down with a knee injury in Week 1, freshman QB Jake Fromm took over and has led the Bulldogs to a 6-0 record.
With the team playing so well, there’s no reason to make the switch back to Eason if Fromm continues to win.
However, if a switch needs to be made at some point, coach Kirby Smart said Eason is progressing and should be ready if needed:
Kirby on Eason: 'He's working his way back to be in position to be ready if he's put in position.'

With Georgia landing 2018 No. 1 recruit Justin Fields last week, it’ll be interesting to see what happens with Eason the next couple of years.
Fromm is still a true freshman, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility that he could experience some growing pains in the second half of the season.
Having an experienced player like Eason ready when needed will only serve to help the No. 4 Bulldogs moving forward.
