Alabama redshirt sophomore DB Deionte Thompson has been indicted on felony aggravated assault charges for a spring break beach brawl on a Texas beach.

According to The Beaumont Enterprise newspaper, a grand jury returned indictments against Thompson, 20, and three others last week.

The indictments allege that Thompson and three other men caused “serious bodily injury to Noah Frillou by striking or hitting or kicking Noah Frillou with the hand or foot,” according to the report.

Frillou, the alleged victim, was hospitalized after the brawl, including having his jaw wired shut and four permanent plates put in his face, per the report.

The incident happened on March 18 and the arrests came a month later. All four, including Thompson, posted bond in April.

Thompson has played in all eight of Alabama’s games this season, making 12 tackles.
