It’s been a rough few years for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, as they have been a bottom feeder in the Big Ten for several seasons now.

However, things have started to turn around a bit this year, and now the Scarlet Knights have even more good news.

On Wednesday, 4-star 2018 QB Artur Sitkowski decided to flip his commitment from Miami to Rutgers — a move that we don’t see very often in the recruiting world.

While announcing his decision on Twitter, Sitkowski — a New Jersey native — expressed a desire to play for his home-state school:

According to ESPN recruiting reporter Tom VanHaaren, Sitkowski is the highest-rated commit Rutgers has landed in a while:

According to the 247Sports composite, Sitkowski is the No. 5 pro-style quarterback in the class of 2018 and the No. 22 overall recruit from the state of New Jersey.

With Sitkowski on board, the future is looking bright for Rutgers — something that hasn’t been said for a long time now.
