Whenever you hear of an up-and-coming coaching candidate this year, there’s one name that always floats to the top.

That name is Scott Frost, who is currently the coach of the undefeated UCF Knights. The Nebraska alum has been linked to the potential opening at his alma mater, as well as the open Florida job, among others.

However, UCF AD Danny White told Mike Bianchi of the Orlando Sentinel that he believes Frost will stay put at UCF for the 2018 season:

“I think he will,” he said. “I think he’s very committed to being here. … I’m excited about the future of our program with Scott Frost at the helm.”

White added that the UCF fans “have to do our part” to keep Frost around, and that includes improving attendance numbers, which have often been disappointing, even as the Knights have found success on the field.

Will that be enough to keep Frost around? Only time will tell, but he’ll certainly have plenty of opportunities to move to a Power 5 job if he wants to this offseason.
