WATCH: Texas football player surprised with scholarship, leads to amazing reaction by teammates

It’s always enjoyable to see a walk-on football player getting the surprise of receiving a scholarship.
The player gets emotional. Teammates react in excitement. And it’s a heartwarming moment as a player who didn’t think it would happen is truly surprised.
That’s exactly what happened to Texas senior defensive back Jarmarquis Durst on Thursday.
Durst stood in front of his Longhorns teammates when it was announced he would be receiving a scholarship. Those players reacted in jubilation, rushing up to Durst and embracing him. Durst then gave a heartfelt speech to his team.
It was truly a great moment.

Durst is entering his third season at Texas after transferring from Tarleton State. He made his Longhorns debut last season, playing in two games.
