The Green Bay Packers have been hit hard by injuries at the inside linebacker position this summer, with Jake Ryan and 2018 draft pick Oren Burks out of Vanderbilt going down.

Therefore, a move needed to be made, and on Sunday, the Packers traded backup DB Lenzy Pipkins to the Indianapolis Colts for former Florida LB Antonio Morrison.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the trade news on Sunday afternoon, as you can see in the tweet below:

Morrison was a fourth-round pick by the Colts back in the 2016 NFL Draft. He has 161 total tackles in two years in Indianapolis.

How much playing time he gets with the Packers remains to be seen, but he’ll fill a position of need in Green Bay for the rest of the preseason.
