On Monday, Florida coach Dan Mullen updated the status of several injured players ahead of Saturday’s season opener against Charleston Southern.

Freshman wide receiver Jacob Copeland is the least likely to play among the injured players, as Mullen said Copeland is doubtful. Sophomore defensive back Shawn Davis, junior linebacker David Reese and redshirt sophomore defensive back C.J. McWilliams are all questionable.

Mullen said that Davis would be “at best, a game-time decision,” but there would be more of an update on him later in the week.

For McWilliams, Mullen said he’ll “see how he progresses as we get closer to the game.”

The Gators may also be without some other players due to suspension, but Mullen said he won’t be announcing those until Saturday.

Florida opens the season against Charleston Southern on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
