The casual college football fan may have never heard of Austin Peay, but if any fans are looking for a bit of inspiration heading into Labor Day weekend, they need to look no further than the FCS team’s head coach.

Austin Peay coach Will Healy, who is only 33 years old and is already heading into his third season, released a truly inspiring letter addressed to his team, fan base and school one day ahead of playing No. 3 Georgia.

The letter begins with a description of the team’s journey to face the Bulldogs and what an honor it will be to play at Sanford Stadium on ESPN.

“We’ll play Saturday afternoon ‘Between the Hedges’ at 2:30 Central on ESPN. Just thinking about that gives me chills. Are you kidding me? Sanford Stadium? On ESPN? I’ve been so excited all summer for this game. We’ll create memories that will last a lifetime, including that moment when we run out of the tunnel in front of 90,000-plus fans,” he wrote.

Healy also discussed his team’s snub in the FCS playoffs last season and vowed to make the postseason in 2018. Austin Peay went 8-4, including 7-1 in the Ohio Valley Conference, last year. That came just one season after going completely winless at 0-11.

This letter clearly indicates, even at 33, Healy is the leader Austin Peay football needs to continue heading in the right direction. Read his full letter below, released by the team’s Twitter account:
