LOOK: Louisville honors legacy of Muhammad Ali with new turnover belt, TD gloves

Former heavyweight champion and legendary boxer Muhammad Ali had deep ties to the Louisville area, so it makes sense that he’d leave a legacy with the Cardinals.
Sadly, Ali passed away back in 2016, but his legend lives on in Louisville, including with the football team.
As you can see in the photo below, the Cardinals now have “touchdown gloves” signed by Ali and a “turnover belt” that features Ali’s many titles:
Worked with Lonnie Ali and Coach Petrino.. meet the “Touchdown Gloves” and The “Turnover Belt”.. the UL version of the Turnover Chain.. warms my heart to keep the Ali connection. Coach Petrino’s idea. pic.twitter.com/UBjiku2sRk

This certainly gives Miami’s turnover chain a run for its money, but we’ll have to see how often they get used on Saturday evening.
The Cardinals open the season against defending national champion Alabama, so these awesome new sideline props may not get much use.
