A handful of SEC schools missed out on Aubrey Solomon coming out of high school, but they may get another chance to land the former 5-star recruit.

The sophomore defensive tackle is transferring from Michigan, according to a report from 247Sports.com. Solomon, ranked as the second-best defensive tackle and the No. 23 overall player in the 2017 recruiting class by 247Sports.com’s composite ratings, held offers from six SEC schools and was strongly considering at least a few of him at the time of his original commitment.

While Solomon was still making his college decision, 247Sports’ Crystal Ball gave Alabama a 23 percent shot to sign him and Georgia a four percent chance. The Leesburg, Georgia, native ultimately settled on the Wolverines as predicted, but he may want to be closer to home at his next school.

Auburn, Florida, Kentucky and Ole Miss were the other SEC schools listed on Solomon’s recruiting profile.

Solomon appeared in 18 games during his two years at Michigan, recording 24 tackles and two tackles for loss as a Wolverine.
