Heading into the weekend, five former first-round draft picks hadn’t signed their rookie contract, including two from the SEC.

That list was reduced to four, as former LSU LB Devin White, the fifth overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, signed his rookie contract, the team announced Saturday morning.

With the signing of White, that leaves former Alabama star Quinnen Williams (No. 3 overall to the Jets) as the only former SEC player who hasn’t signed his rookie contract. No update on that has been made available. The Jets have already started training camp, too.

The Bucs drafted White to become an instant impact player at LB in 2019. He’ll likely start alongside Lavonte David. White’s sideline-to-sideline speed is quicker than most, and he has a nose for the football. He’ll fit right in on Tampa’s defense.

The former Butkus Award winner, given annually to college football’s top LB, racked up 256 tackles the last two years.
