It hasn’t taken long for Sam Pittman to get a touted offensive lineman to visit Arkansas.

There’s no hiding from the fact Pittman inherited a mess in terms of where the Razorbacks’ 2020 commitment list stood by the time he landed the job in Fayetteville but that’s what happens when a program is left without a full-time head coach for a month. You can’t expect prospects to remain committed to a program that doesn’t have direction or a firm plan in place.

Clearly, with Pittman on board, that is no longer the case on The Hill.

While you can question Pittman’s inexperience as a head coach, you can’t question his ability to recruit, develop and coach offensive linemen and those qualities are already beginning to show in Fayetteville as the Razorbacks are set to host four-star Memphis University School offensive lineman Marcus Henderson this weekend. Henderson took to Twitter to share the news on Friday.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pound prospect is rated as a top 300 prospect nationally, the No. 12 offensive guard in the nation and the No. 8 overall prospect from Tennessee by 247Sports Composite Rankings. Considering that Arkansas does not have a prospect as highly-regarded as Henderson currently committed in the 2020 recruiting class, landing the touted offensive lineman from Tennessee would be a big splash for the Razorbacks.

That’s something Arkansas fans should start getting accustomed to with Pittman leading the program.

Or as Pittman likes to say…

Here’s a look at Henderson’s senior season highlight reel.
