Until LSU’s offense actually takes the field against Oklahoma in the Peach Bowl, the questions regarding Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s status will continue to be hurled at everyone associated with the Tigers.
The status of LSU’s starting running back is the biggest question mark surrounding the team heading into their upcoming College Football Playoff appearance on Saturday and while Ed Orgeron isn’t sure if Edwards-Helaire will suit up, the team’s offensive coordinator has a strong feeling that the junior will play against the Sooners.
“Yeah, he hasn’t practice yet. He may practice a little bit (Thursday) we’re not sure yet if he is going to practice,” Orgeron said on Thursday during his CFP media availability. “He’s questionable for the game. I do believe that there’s any shot of him being cleared to play medically, the trainer’s and doctors say that he can play, I think he’s going to try. I don’t know what’s gonna happen.”
Now, here’s what Ensminger had to say on the subject on Thursday:
