Although he already signed during the Early Signing Period, 5-star tight end Darnell Washington announced Thursday at the Under Armour All American game that he is committed to playing at Georgia.

Washington had a very unique way to making his announcement as well, using his daughter’s onesie to reveal Georgia was his pick.

Standing at more than 6-foot-7 and 260 pounds, Washington is a Top 10 recruit in the class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Washington is also the No. 1 athlete and top prospect from Nevada in 2020.

He reportedly received more than two dozen offers and chose the Bulldogs instead of Alabama, Florida, Clemson and Auburn.

Georgia missed out on local product and 5-star tight end Arik Gilbert on Early Signing Day, as Gilbert, who won the Gatorade Player of the Year award in Georgia, chose LSU instead of the Bulldogs. That was a big blow to Georgia’s recruiting class, but now fans perhaps know why the Bulldogs and Gilbert didn’t work out.

While a vast majority of players are signed, there is still more than a month until the second Signing Day. As of Jan. 2, Georgia’s 2020 class is ranked third-best in the country and No. 2 in the SEC behind only Alabama. Clemson has the top recruiting class in the entire nation.
