Arkansas just secured its first commitment from a receiver in the 2021 recruiting cycle as Lone Star State native Jaedon Wilson announced his pledge to join Sam Pittman’s program on Tuesday.

The DeSoto, Texas, native is listed as a 6-foot-3, 172-pound three-star prospect for DeSoto High School. 247Sports Composite Rankings list Wilson as the No. 121 overall receiver prospect in the nation and the No. 115 recruit from Texas.

Wilson commits to Arkansas over scholarship offers from Ole Miss, Cal and UCLA, among many others. He is also the younger brother of Dontre Wilson, who played at Ohio State from 2013-2016.

In addition to being a standout on the gridiron, Wilson also runs track. During his junior season, he made 28 catches, 520 yards and seven touchdowns for DeSoto High School.

Based on his junior season highlight reel, Wilson has an outstanding ability to high point the ball when necessary and has proven he has the speed to blow by and run away from the defenders he sees on Friday nights.
