JUCO defensive end names 2 SEC teams in final 3 ahead of coming commitment announcement

Ahead of a commitment announcement on June 18, Shemar Pearl has named his final 3. The Garden City Community College weak-side defensive end shared on Twitter that he is down to Missouri, South Carolina and Texas Tech.

Coming out of high school, the Plano West (Texas) product was a 3-star prospect in the class of 2019 with 11 scholarship offers, including Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia and Mizzou. In that class, he was ranked the No. 46 weak-side defensive end and No. 740 prospect overall nationally on the 247Sports Composite. As a JUCO player, Pearl does not have a 247Sports or Composite ranking.

In his freshman season at Garden City, Pearl recorded 22 tackles, including 7 TFL and 2 sacks, and 4 pass breakups. Highlights from that season can be viewed below, via Hudl:
