While he is keeping his options open, MJ Daniels has just over a handful of programs on his mind as his college recruitment heats up heading into his senior season at George County High School.

On Tuesday, Daniels announced the six programs he is focused on when it comes to his recruitment: Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Indiana and Minnesota all made the cut.

The Lucedale, Miss., native was previously committed to Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss program — he decommitted on June 1, and while he’s keeping the Rebels on his list of contenders, Daniels recently Georgia and Tennessee both made his recruitment more interesting after extending scholarships to their respective schools.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Daniels is rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 27 athlete and Mississippi’s No. 7 overall prospect in the 2021 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Daniels plays both sides of the ball, including some quarterback, for George County High School but projects as a defensive back at the next level.
