Vanderbilt announces hires of offensive line coach, linebackers coach

Clark Lea’s first Vanderbilt coaching staff is coming together on West End.

On Tuesday, the Commodores announced a pair of new hires as offensive line coach AJ Blazek and linebackers coach John Egorugwu have been added to the roster.

Blazek previously coached the offensive line for North Dakota State and Rutgers. Egorugwu previously coached for the Buffalo Bills for four seasons and the Baltimore Ravens for two years.

Following these hires, Vanderbilt has nine full-time coaches on staff with one position still open.

  • David Raih – offensive coordinator/receivers
  • Jesse Minter – defensive coordinator/safeties
  • Justin Lustig – special teams coordinator/tight ends
  • Joey Lynch – pass game coordinator/quarterbacks
  • Norval McKenzie – run game coordinator/running backs
  • Inoke Breckterfield – defensive line
  • AJ Blazek – offensive line
  • John Egorugwu – linebackers
  • Jovan Haye –  defensive ends
