Anthony Edwards can put “Dunk of the Year” on his rookie season resume.

The former Georgia Bulldog threw down a monster slam over the Raptors’ Yuta Watanabe on Friday night that had NBA Twitter buzzing.

The official Twitter account of the Minnesota Timberwolves and others called it the “Dunk of the Year.”

You can’t blame Edwards for admiring his work.

The Timberwolves ultimately fell to the Raptors 86-81, dropping to 7-23 on the year. Edwards finished with 7 points on 21.4 percent shooting from the field and 50 percent from the line. He also had 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals and a block. Everybody, of course, will remember the game for the posterizing dunk.
