Andrew Eyster is establishing himself as a Clemson killer. For the second day in a row, Eyster delivered the walk-off hit to lift the Gamecocks over the Tigers on the diamond.

The ninth-inning RBI single gave South Carolina an 8-7 series-clinching win. Eyster, who finished the game 3-for-5 with a team-leading 2 RBIs, was also the hero in Saturday’s 3-2 Gamecocks victory.

Sunday afternoon, South Carolina was up 5-3 after the fifth inning, but Clemson had a four-run seventh to take a 7-5 lead. The Gamecocks answered with two to tie it in the bottom half of the frame.

Head football coach Shane Beamer reacted to the baseball’s team exciting win over Clemson to take the rivalry series:

Beamer either got a little ahead of himself with the broom GIF or is boldly predicting the Gamecocks get the sweep. Friday night’s game was postponed.

No. 17 South Carolina improves to 6-0 on the season.
