Kentucky just picked up the biggest commitment of the program’s 2022 recruiting class.

Literally.

The Wildcats just landed a pledge from 6-foot-6, 302-pound offensive lineman Grant Bingham. Landing a commitment from the Johnson Central High School standout is not only noteworthy due to his massive size but because the Paintsville native is now the highest-rated prospect committed to Kentucky’s current recruiting class.

Bingham is rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 3 overall recruit from the state, the No. 36 offensive tackle in the country and a top 300 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The Kentucky native picked the Wildcats over scholarship offers from Louisville, Arkansas, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Purdue, Notre Dame and Stanford, among others.

“I would like to thank everyone who believed in me on my journey,” Bingham said in his commitment statement. “I would also like to thank my family, coaches and friends because without them this would not be possible. After much deliberation, I have made the decision to further my education and athletic career at the University of Kentucky. I am very excited and thankful for this opportunity!”
