Texas A&M athletic director Ross Bjork had to address rumors once again about head football coach Jimbo Fisher’s interest in other head coaching positions, particularly about the position about to come open at LSU at the end of the season.

Fisher has tried to quiet down the rumors by denying interest, but the subject keeps coming up and Bjork wanted to address them on his “Town Hall” show.

“Jimbo is controlling the controllable,” Bjork said. “He’s addressed it twice. He’s been very consistent about his message and words. We continue to recruit at a high level. I loved his response yesterday. You can’t respond to everything.

“He (Jimbo Fisher) knew this question was going to keep coming up. He was very direct. He told the truth.”

It seems Fisher is indeed staying put at Texas A&M. That begs the question — where will LSU turn next?
