Demond Demas’ 2021 season is now over.

The Texas A&M redshirt freshman wide receiver missed Saturday’s 52-3 win over Prairie View A&M due to a leg injury, and Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher said during his postgame press conference that Demas will be out the rest of the year.

That means Texas A&M will lose some depth in its receiving corps for its final regular-season game against LSU and its bowl matchup. Demas had played in 9 games for the Aggies and made 5 starts this year after playing in 4 games in 2020, when he used his redshirt.

Demas had 15 catches for 235 yards and a touchdown, with most of his production coming in Texas A&M’s win over New Mexico on Sept. 18. In that game, he had 2 catches for 100 yards and a score.

Even though the Aggies were without Demas, they had no trouble putting up a ton of offense against Prairie View A&M. Texas A&M finished with 447 total yards in the lopsided victory.
