Jimbo Fisher reacts to Texas A&M's heartbreaking loss at LSU
Texas A&M ended its regular season with a heart-breaking loss at LSU on Saturday night, 27-24,
The Aggies trailed 17-7 at the half but had rallied to take a 24-20 lead late in the 4th quarter.
The Tigers, however, came up big with a 9-play, 85-yard scoring drive in just 1:38 that was culminated by a 28-yard touchdown pass from Max Johnson to Jaray Jenkins with just 20 seconds left on the clock.
The win moved LSU to 6-6 on the season and will allow the Tigers to play in a bowl game.
Texas A&M, meanwhile, which started the season ranked 6th in the Associated Press preseason top-25, finished a disappointing 8-4.
Zach Calzada led the Aggies by completing 20-of-35 passes for 242 yards and 3 touchdowns, but A&M was limited to just 54 rushing yards in the game.
The Texas A&M defense also struggled all night against the Tigers’ passing attack, as Johnson threw for 306 yards and 3 touchdowns.
After the game, Aggies coach Jimbo Fisher met with the media.
