The 2021 Heisman Trophy finalists have been announced. During ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown” it was revealed that Aidan Hutchinson (Michigan defensive end), Kenny Pickett (Pitt quarterback), C.J. Stroud (Ohio State quarterback) and Byrce Young (Alabama quarterback).

The number of finalists for college football’s top individual award has varied over the years. The Heisman Trust is going with a set 4 finalists, starting with the 2021 ceremony.

Last week, the Heisman Trust announced there will be two shows focused on the finalists:

The top ten finishers will be featured on The Top Ten Heisman Trophy Finalists Show Presented by Nissan on Thursday, December 9 at 9:00 p.m. EST on ESPN.

The 2021 Heisman Trophy Winner will be announced during the televised Heisman Trophy Ceremony Presented by Nissan, that will air on Saturday, December 11 at 8:00 p.m. EST on ESPN.

Per the Heisman Trust, ballots were sent to 928 electors, which includes 870 college football media members, 57 living Heisman Trophy winners and one overall fan vote presented by Nissan at http://nissanheismanhouse.com. Heisman ballots were due at 5 p.m. ET Monday.
