South Carolina picks up commitment from 2022 kicker out of Florida

South Carolina has plenty of momentum after an unexpectedly strong first year under coach Shane Beamer.
Now, the Gamecocks are setting their sites on the 2022 season, and recruiting some spots they need filled in their incoming class.
On Sunday, a kicker out of Florida, Daniel Lester, took to Twitter to reveal he’d be heading to Columbia for the 2022 season and beyond:

Per Kornblue Kicking, Lester is a 5-star kicker and the No. 6 overall kicker in the 2022 class.
The Gamecocks have 22 players in their 2022 recruiting class currently. That class ranks No. 22 nationally and No. 10 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
As the Gamecocks try to replace Parker White, we’ll see how Lester factors into the kicking competition.
