End of an era: Arkansas sees streak that began in 1989 snapped during win over South Carolina

One thing that was a constant over the years, at least since 1989, was that Arkansas would hit a 3-pointer in every game. That streak ended on Tuesday night during the 75-59 win over South Carolina.
The Razorbacks went 0-for-11, and it ended the third-longest streak in the country. Arkansas’ 3-point drought ended its streak of consecutive games with a made 3 at 1,092. UNLV and Duke were the only teams that had longer streaks. The last time Arkansas did not make a 3 in a game was against Texas in 1989.

The bigger picture was more positive for the Razorbacks, who extended their win streak to 3 games after they started SEC play with 3 straight losses. Arkansas improved to 13-5, and 3-3 in the SEC in the game at Bud Walton Arena.
Arkansas was led by JD Notae, who finished with 17 points and 7 rebounds, and Jaylin Williams who had a career-high 17 points and 9 rebounds. Arkansas also limited South Carolina’s leading scorer this season, Erik Stevenson, to 1-for-12 shooting.
Eric Musselman also returned to coach the Razorbacks after he had shoulder surgery less than a week ago.
