Georgia has been a disaster this year under coach Tom Crean. Entering the SEC Tournament in Tampa this week as the No. 14 seed, the Bulldogs sport a dismal 6-25 overall record and went 1-17 in SEC action.

The Bulldogs face No. 11 seed Vanderbilt on Wednesday night. A loss there would likely spell the end of the Tom Crean era in Athens.

Per Chip Towers of AJC.com, the Bulldogs plan to part ways with Crean following the end of the season:

After overseeing the losingest season in the history of Georgia basketball, all indications are that Crean and the Bulldogs will part ways after the season concludes, according to multiple people with knowledge of the situation. However, an official decision has not been made.

Crean has gone 47-74 in 4 seasons at Georgia. He has yet to lead the Dawgs to the NCAA Tournament. Barring a miracle run in the SEC Tournament this week, that streak will continue.

Where will Georgia turn next? That remains to be seen, but it does appear there will be a coaching search in Athens this offseason.
