Tennessee baseball rips off hot offensive start in road trip vs. Ole Miss

Tennessee steamrolled Ole Miss Friday night, and the Volunteers hit the ground running in Game 2 of the series on Saturday.
Entering the weekend, the two teams are in competition for the top overall spot in the country. On Friday, it was the Vols rolling to a 12-1 win over the Rebels.
On Saturday, the Vols once again raced out of the gate. An RBI double by Drew Gilbert was a part of a 2-run 1st inning for Tennessee.
Off to another good start with two runs in the top of the first!

In the 4th inning, Seth Stephenson hit a 2-run double into the corner to make it 6-0 for the Vols. That chased Ole Miss starter Jack Dougherty after a rough outing where he was tagged for 6 earned runs with 3 extra-base hits given up.

Tennessee would add 2 more in the top of the 5th inning to make it 8-0. So far, the Vols have been taking it to the Rebels and will look to clinch the series by finishing off a win Saturday night.
