Nick Honor, a former Clemson point guard, has announced a commitment to play in the SEC next season.

Honor, who started 35 games over the last 2 seasons with the Tigers, announced his decision to transfer to Missouri on Tuesday on social media. He chose Mizzou over Minnesota and SMU.

This will be the third program for Honor, who earlier played at Fordham. He averaged 7.7 points and more than 2 assists in 33 games this past season.

Coming out of high school, Honor was a 3-star point guard out of Orlando, Florida in the Class of 2018 when he signed with Fordham. After he started all 36 games and averaged 15.3 points and 3 assists per game for the Rams, he transferred to Clemson.

New Mizzou coach Dennis Gates has filled his roster largely with transfers.

Honor is Gates’ eight commitment, and fifth Division I transfer, he took the job about a month ago. Honor’s commitment continues a roster turnover for the Tigers under Gates.

Yaya Keita entered the transfer portal Tuesday afternoon, and that came after 3-star guard Christian Jones reopened his commitment on Monday after D’Moi Hodge committed to Mizzou over the weekend.

Gates appears to be all but finished with the new roster for the upcoming season.
