Tyree Appleby has found his new home. The former Florida guard will continue his career at Wake Forest. He shared the news on his Instagram account.

Appleby entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal in early April. It’s his second time transferring, as he left Cleveland State for UF in July 2019. Appleby sat out the 2019-20 season due to NCAA transfer rules, using a redshirt. This time around, Appleby is a graduate transfer after completing the spring semester at UF and receiving his degree.

Appleby scored 653 points (11.1 per game) and recorded 207 assists (3.5 per game) in 59 appearances at Florida, including 44 starts. Appleby’s Gator career was highlighted by scoring outputs of 20-or-more points on 4 occasions, including a 26-point performance in a win vs. No. 2 Auburn. This past season, Appleby averaged 10.9 points, 3.7 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest.
