RJ Adams has found a new home after 2 seasons with the Kentucky Wildcats. The transfer offensive lineman announced his commitment to Georgia Tech on Saturday, via his Twitter account.
Adams reportedly entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal last month. In 2 seasons at UK, Adams did not see the field. Adams’ UK bio lists 2020 as a redshirt season. For 2021, it notes Adams “practiced with the team.”
Out of Woodbridge (Virginia), Adams was a 3-star prospect on the 247Sports Composite with 32 scholarship offers, earning Under Armour All-America recognition.
Adams gets a fresh start at Georgia Tech. With the NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver and a redshirt season, he will be immediately eligible for 2022 and can play up to 4 seasons.
