Tennessee baseball was in an unusual spot this weekend, losing an SEC for the first time this season.
After scoring 4 runs total across losses to Kentucky on Thursday and Friday, the Volunteers were able to respond with 7 runs in the series finale on Saturday afternoon. 5 of those runs were scored in the final two innings as Tennessee dialed up some late-inning magic.
With the game tied 2-2 in the top of the 6th inning of the 7-inning contest, Luc Lipcius delivered. He bounced a go-ahead 2-run single into right field to give Tennessee the 4-2 lead.

In the final inning, Jordan Beck provided some breathing room for Tennessee. He drilled a 3-run home run out of left field for the 7-2 lead. Kentucky would go down quickly in the bottom of the 7th to give the Vols the win.
