Jarvis Landry, a former LSU star, has agreed to a new deal with the New Orleans Saints as the former Cleveland Browns wide receiver, has found a new home.

Landry is the second former LSU star to join the Saints in recent days after Tyrann Mathieu.

Landry is looking for a fresh start and to build his profile ahead of free agency in 2023.

The Browns released Landry after they couldn’t agree on a restructured deal. He played 4 seasons with the Browns, and reached the Pro Bowl twice, but his last 2 seasons were disrupted by injuries, including broken ribs in 2020 and a knee injury last season.

Landry began his career with the Miami Dolphins in 2014, and has appeared in 123 games in his eight-year NFL career, and made 688 catches for 7,598 receiving yards and 37 touchdowns. His best season came in 2017 with the Dolphins when he made 112 catches for 987 yards and 9 touchdowns. He also converted 62 first downs, another career high.

Landry was released by the Browns after he made just 52 catches for 570 yards, both career lows.

The Saints’ offense in 2022 will feature Michael Thomas returning from injury, along with new draft pick Chris Olave, a first-round pick, and now Landry joins the fold.
