The SEC Track Championships are taking place this weekend, and Kentucky got a huge performance from its women’s 4×400-meter relay team on Saturday.

From Oxford, Mississippi, the Wildcats finished in fourth place, seven spots higher than their finish last season. They finished with 85 total points.

But, it was the 4×400 team that made headlines. Karimah Davis, Dajour Miles, Abby Steiner and Alexis Holmes ran the mile relay in an NCAA-record 3:21.93:

“I told these ladies before this relay that I was gonna run my heart out for them,” Steiner, who ran a 48.772 third leg to put the Wildcats in the lead, said via a release from the school. “We really wanted this win. Collegiate record is just a bonus on top of that.”

That relay was one that will be remembered in the SEC for a while to come.
