Florida played Canisius in Gainesville Regional on Friday, run-ruling Canisius 10-1. The bats got hot for the Gators in this one.

Skylar Wallace opened the game with a blast to deep center in the 1st inning, following by a 3-run moonshot from Sam Roe in the 2nd. The bottom of the 3rd inning had 3 more runs score for the Gators. Charla Echols, Cheyenne Lindsey, and Katie Kistler all knocked in runs making it 8-0 early.

The 8-0 Florida lead slowly became 8-1, then 9-1 and 10-1 before the game was called in 5 innings. Echols batted in another run with a sacrifice fly, followed by a Reagan Walsh RBI in the bottom of the 4th.

Lexie Delbrey pitched 3 innings, allowing 1 run and 1 hit with 7 strikeouts. Rylee Trlicek and Natalie Lugo finished off the game in relief, allowing 0 hits.

Florida continues its NCAA Tournament run Saturday at 3 p.m. ET against Georgia Tech.
