Texas A&M avoids elimination, advances to regional final for rematch vs. top-seed Oklahoma

Facing elimination, Texas A&M entered the 6th inning trailing 6-2. When the top of the 6th was over, the Aggies had rallied for 6 runs and an 8-6 lead.
Texas A&M scored 6 runs on 6 hits for the lead in a big-time push against Minnesota. The big hits that inning were an RBI double from Makinzy Herzog and a 2-run home run from Katie Dack. Rylen Wiggins also delivered a 2-run single that tied the game.

Texas A&M was able to tack on 2 more runs in the top of the 7th. Emiley Kennedy completed a scoreless bottom of the 7th for her third inning of relief work as the Aggies finished off with the 10-7 win.
Now, it’s onto the regional final for Texas A&M where they will get a rematch with top-seed Oklahoma. The Aggies hung tough but lost to the Sooners by a score of 3-2 on Saturday.
First pitch on Sunday is set for 2 pm ET from Norman. Texas A&M needs 2 wins over Oklahoma in order to win the regional and advance.
