Tennessee baseball is in a good spot heading into Day 5 of the SEC Tournament. The Volunteers, who enjoyed a first-round bye as the No. 1 seed, are 2-0 so far in Hoover, 2 wins away from a sweep of the conference titles for the 2022 season.

UT held off LSU 5-2 for a third-round win, placing Tony Vitello’s squad in the single-elimination semifinals. For Tennessee, Chase Dollander picked up the win while Redmond Walsh recorded the save. It was a milestone save for Walsh. Walsh’s 7th save of the season gave him 23 for his career, which tied Todd Helton for the program record.

Walsh dealt with a wardrobe issue while recording the final outs. The zipper was busted on the Tennessee pitcher’s pants. Walsh joked he was just following his coach’s advice.

“Coach always says, ‘Leave everything out on the field,’” Walsh said after the game, per Glenn Guilbeau of OutKick. “So that’s what I was trying to do.”

Walsh and company could be facing the Tigers again. The winner of the LSU-Kentucky elimination game will face Tennessee later Saturday, at around 8 p.m. CT/9 p.m. ET, depending on how the earlier games go.
