Ole Miss added to its 2023 recruiting class on Friday with a 4-star safety commitment out of Texas. Daniel Demery, a Dallas native, is headed to the ‘Sip to play for Lane Kiffin.

He shared the news on his Twitter account:

The Parish Episcopal standout is listed at 5-11, 195 pounds and rated 4-stars, the No. 25 safety, No. 47 Lone Star State product and No. 278 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. Demery, who also runs track, has scholarship offers from 25 schools, including Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.

With Demery on board, the Rebels now have 3 pledges in their 2023 class. Top-65 prospect Suntarine Perkins, a Raleigh (Mississippi) ATH, pledged back on Nov. 28, 2020.  Marcel Reed, a 3-star quarterback from Nashville, committed on April 25, 2022.
