Ole Miss lands commitment from 4-star 2023 in-state edge defender

Ole Miss added a blue-chip edge defender to its 2023 recruiting class on Friday night. Moss Point (Mississippi) standout Jamarious Brown announced his verbal pledge to the Rebels via social media.

Brown’s Hudl highlight tape lists his measurements as 6-4, 265 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, he is rated 4-stars, the No. 5 Mississippi recruit, No. 28 edge defender and No. 236 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023. Brown has picked up 19 scholarship offers, including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Mississippi State, Missouri and Tennessee.
Brown tagged Kelvin Bolden, a former Florida assistant now at Ole Miss, when he visited Gainesville in November and Oxford in April.
