Georgia basketball has set the nonconference schedule for 2022-23, Mike White’s first season as head coach of the Bulldogs.

White’s squad will play its first game on Halloween, hosting Georgia College for an exhibition contest. The 2022-23 season opener is a home game against Western Carolina on Nov. 7. UGA travels to Wake Forest for its first road trip on Nov. 11. The nonconference slate includes Sunshine Slam in Daytona Beach, Florida and Holiday Hoopsgiving in Atlanta.

For the Sunshine Slam, the Bulldogs will face St. Joseph’s on Nov. 21 and then either South Florida or UAB the following day. Georgia is set to face Notre Dame on Nov. 18 in State Farm Arena for Holiday Hoopsgiving. Georgia’s schedule announcement notes that UGA is “expected to become a regular participant in the Hoopsgiving event in future years.”

Georgia’s 18-game SEC schedule will be released at a later date. The 2021-22 squad went 6-26 overall, resulting in Tom Crean’s dismissal.
