Brian Kelly has seen Jayden Daniels develop since the start of the season, and now the LSU gets his first dose of an SEC road game this week at Auburn.

Kelly spoke about Daniel’s progress on Wednesday on the SEC coaches media teleconference.

“Just more comfortable with the offense itself,” Kelly said. “Remember now, he was in a completely different offensive structure. … I used this word the other day … he’s become more decisive. … When you’re decisive, the ball comes out, you move more efficiently.”

For the offensive line, LSU is likely without Garrett Dellinger, who is recovering from suffering a broken hand and who had surgery on Tuesday.

“It appears as though it’s going to be tight for him to make the game,” Kelly said. “At first thought, we thought we could get him ready, but there’s a plate and screw in there. As we’re talking today, I’d say he’s doubtful.”

Kelly added that Miles Frazier at left guard is an option.

LSU travels to Auburn for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff on ESPN.
