The San Francisco 49ers are hosting the Los Angeles Rams on “Monday Night Football”. They’ll be missing Javon Kinlaw for this one, as the former South Carolina star has been ruled out due to a knee injury.

Multiple reports from media at Levi’s Stadium stated that the defensive lineman was trying to give it a go during pregame warmups after issues in his right knee held him out of Thursday and Friday’s practice. As beat writer Cam Inman notes, it’s the same knee that Kinlaw required surgery for in late October 2021 to reconstruct his ACL.

However, according to NBC Sports Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco, Kinlaw “looked quite disappointed” when completing workouts and on his way off the field.

The 3rd-year player and former 1st-round draft choice has appeared in 2 games this season, recording a pair of tackles. He played in just 4 games during the 2021 campaign.
