Les Miles returns? Paul Finebaum caller pitches former LSU coach for potential SEC opening
Les Miles to Auburn?
According to one caller on the Paul Finebaum show Wednesday, that’s exactly who the Tigers should hire when Bryan Harsin eventually gets the axe. Though not official, it seems like Harsin’s departure from Auburn is all but guaranteed soon.
And we’re sure Miles would love to make his return to coaching for one of the hardest jobs in the country.
Here’s the full segment from the Paul Finebaum Show:
An Auburn fan called into the Paul Finebaum show to pitch Les Miles to Auburn….
“Les Miles is one of the few coaches out there that knows what it takes to win in the SEC, that can come in and get the type of players to compete with a Georgia and Alabama…”

Sure, Miles knew what it took to win in the SEC a decade ago, but the 68-year old has been out of coaching for 2 years and performed poorly at Kansas in his final seasons, finishing with a 3-18 record across 2 years in Lawrence. Miles also had a run in with sexual assault allegations in 2013 with LSU that likely accelerated his firing at Kansas.
Not sure that’s the guy for the job right now.
