Jefferson High football coach Travis Noland told 11Alive that Dewitt’s death has send a shock through the school.

“It’s devastating, one of his best friends is our quarterback and that’s who called me to tell me, crying,” Noland said. “It’s just one of those things that you don’t wanna ever have to live through again.”
