College football assistant coach resigns at end of team’s bye week, per report

At the end of its bye week, Georgia Tech has reportedly lost one of its assistant coaches.
Brett McMurphy of the Action Network reported that Georgia Tech’s running backs coach Mike Daniels has resigned, and will be replaced by Donald Hill-Eley. Daniels was in his first season at Tech after he coached at Buffalo and helped the Bulls rank among the nation’s top-30 rushing offenses in 2021. He was named running backs coach at Georgia Tech in December 2021.
His Georgia Tech bio also notes that Daniels previously coached at Alcorn State (tight ends), Cincinnati (graduate assistant), Statesboro (Ga.) H.S. (running backs/offensive coordinator), Kennesaw State (wide receivers) and Princeton (Ohio) H.S. (head coach).

This came after Georgia Tech fired Geoff Collins earlier this season. The Yellow Jackets are 3-3, and next play Virginia on Thursday next week. The Yellow Jackets have won 2 straight games, including over then-No. 24 Pitt 2 weeks ago.
