Tennessee received widespread praise for the black uniforms the Vols wore against Kentucky on Saturday night.

Tennessee wore what it called the “dark mode” uniforms, and this is the first time they have unveiled a black and orange helmet versus the typical white and orange. Since the team unveiled the uniforms on Tuesday, they received widespread praise.

Last year against South Carolina, Tennessee wore black uniforms with a white helmet and a black and orange striped power T down the middle. This is the first time the Vols have worn the black uniforms since a Halloween game against the Gamecocks in 2009.
