Eli Drinkwitz comments on controversial penalties, Brady Cook’s performance after loss to Kentucky

Eli Drinkwitz lamented the mistakes Missouri made on offense, and the late roughing the punter penalty that went against the Tigers in a 21-17 loss to Kentucky.
The Tigers fell to 4-5 and 2-4 in the SEC and next play at Tennessee.
There was also a call earlier in the game on the Kentucky sideline where Missouri received a penalty in a pushing and shoving match.
Missouri QB Brady Cook was 18-for-26 passing for 143 yards, and also had 17 rushing yards.
Here are some of his comments to the media:
Drinkwitz on Brady Cook: “Obviously, in the second half he played much better… The fumble in the first half was an unforced error that we gotta correct.” Also said he had to improve his decision-making throughout the game.

Asked what the explanation about Josh Landry only getting the penalty in the sideline shenanigans, Drinkwitz said that explanations don’t matter, only results.

Drinkwitz said he was told that the punter was still in the tackle box, so he was still a “protected punter.”
