RJ Young offers Georgia advice on what the Mike Bobo offense needs to produce

RJ Young offered some advice and expectation for what the Georgia offense needs to do under new offensive coordinator Mike Bobo. He opened his discussion by noting that it’s not an easy job.
“You need to run an offense that doesn’t get on Kirby Smart’s nerves and you need to score 40 a game,” said Young, a FOX Sports analyst. “Those 2 things are usually in congruence.”
Young added that Todd Monken — who left Georgia this week for the same position with the Baltimore Ravens — was successful because his previous career history helped him learn how to manage big personalities.
Young then recalled Bobo’s career history at Colorado State, South Carolina and Auburn, and laid out that Bobo would take an analyst role to setup an opportunity like this. Monken even praised Bobo for doing “grunt work” like making play cards because he wanted to be at Georgia. And Bobo came with the history of grooming David Greene, Aaron Murray and Matthew Stafford.
“He knows what to do with quarterbacks, and if Carson Beck is half as good as the folks at Georgia would have me believe, he’s going to be better than Stetson Bennett,” Young said.
