Auburn will lose some depth on its offensive line as it gets set for spring practice.

Avery Jernigan, a backup offensive lineman the last 3 seasons, is no longer with the program, AL.com reported. Jernigan left the team on his own accord.

Jerigan was a 3-star recruit from Blackshear, Georgia, in the Class of 2020. The 6-foot-4, 310-pounder appeared in only one game in his Auburn career. He was listed on the team’s depth chart last season as the No. 4 option at center and also worked in practice at left guard.

Auburn is scheduled to begin spring practice on Monday, and the A-Day spring game is set for April 8 at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Auburn’s offensive line has a host of new faces, including 4 mid-year enrollees such as 4-star center Connor Lew, 3-star JUCO transfer Izavion Miller and 3-star 2023 signees Clay Wedin and Bradyn Joiner.

It also has experienced transfers in Kentucky center Avery Jones, Tulsa offensive tackle Dillon Wade and Western Kentucky offensive tackle Gunner Britton.

Auburn returnees include Kam Stutts, Jeremiah Wright, Jalil Irvin and Tate Johnson, along with a handful of returning underclassmen.
